The transducer comprises a means of determining the capacity of water and of spent water. To increase performance, a redox indicator electrode is provided in the asymmetric tensiometric cell without a diffusion potential. The reference electrode has an Ag-/Ag2S ion-selective diaphragm, and the transfer function is independent of the iodide concentration. Thus both electrodes are identically proportionally sensitive to the iodide ions.
