PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winding position control method of a winding machine capable of suppressing the height of the winding machine to be low, reducing the fluctuation in contact pressure, and stabilizing the winding position. SOLUTION: This winding position control method comprises a step of presetting a relational expression between the movement of a supporting member 12 and the winding time based on the estimated relationship between the winding time and the package diameter, a step of moving the supporting member 12 based on the set relational expression, and a step of detecting the relationship between the package diameter and the winding time during the winding process.
