PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make small the dimensions across the width and over the height of a mounting structure of a position sensor to be mounted on a cylinder and preclude slipping-off of a fixing bolt for fixing the position of the sensor. SOLUTION: The sensor mounting structure 18 according to the invention is equipped with a rail member 24 to be fixed to the outer side face of a cylinder tube 14, a holder 28a installed for holding the position sensor in such a way as slidable along the rail member 24, and a fixing bolt 30a for fixing the holder 28a to the rail member 24, wherein the fixing bolt 30a is furnished with a slip-off preventing mechanism.
