PURPOSE: Provided is a yarn feeder for a textile machinery which transfers the yarn to a yarn supply reel through passing it between the rotating disks to thereby minimize the frictional force of the yarn with the disks. CONSTITUTION: A yarn feeder for a textile machinery comprises a rotation shaft(503) fitted to a holder body(50), a rotation pulley(500) placed at the top of the rotation shaft, and a yarn supply reel(501) placed at the bottom of the rotation shaft. The yarn guided through a yarn guide eyelet(100) is wound on a plurality of metallic bars(501a) fitted between upper and lower flanges(505,507) of the yarn supply reel. The yarn stored at the yarn supply reel is continuously transferred from the bottom of the yarn supply reel toward a transfer ring(504). The yarn feeder further comprises a cover(10) partially covering the holder body; a drive unit(20) with a first pulley(210) rotated through the rotation of the rotation shaft and a second pulley(220) connected to the first pulley to receive the driving power; and a disk unit(30) with a disk(310) combined with the shaft(222) of the second pulley and a plurality of idling disks(300) placed over the disk.
