PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a gob having a mold releasing membrane so as to realize stable mold releasing of GMo lens and to reduce the cost. SOLUTION: A flammable gas is used as a gas for a receptacle mold for manufacturing a gob from molten and outflowing glass by use of a floating mold. When high-temperature glass drops on the receptacle mold, the gas is ignited and the surface of the gob becomes coated with soot. The soot acts as a good release agent. Furthermore, as the gas burns on the gob receptacle mold, heating of the receptacle mold gas which is required heretofore becomes unnecessary.
