PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parallel bar type walking exercise unit the distance between handrails of which can be easily controlled to be suitable for each of walking exercisers and struts of which do not disturb walking exercising. SOLUTION: In the unit, a pair of handrails 3a and 3b are almost horizontally supported by struts 4, bent connecting members 5 are arranged at the supporting positions of the handrails 3a and 3b by the struts 4 and a combination of such a connecting member 5 and each of the handrails 3a and 3b and the struts 4 can be rotated.
