PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for easily making a rolling extension of a bread dough divided to a given weight to a rodlike bread dough of necessary length in manufacturing bread or baguette. SOLUTION: This method and device for making a rolling extension of a rodlike bread dough by providing the traveling surface of a conveyor and a rolling member so as to stand against each other involves the steps of measuring the length of the rodlike bread dough prior to rolling, and according to the difference from a set length, controlling the magnitude of extension by the rolling member for extending the rodlike bread dough rectangularly to the conveyor.
