PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a portably functional hydrous gel, capable of increasing a water content and thus remarkably enhancing a cold insulation/humectant ability and suitably adjusting it, excellent in portability, distributability, usability, capable of being functioned as a warmth-keeping/thermal medium or a supply medium for slowly releasing effective components. SOLUTION: The portably functional hydrous gel comprises mainly a container body (1a) having a recess (11a) and a flange (12a) protruding from the periphery of the opening of the recess (11a), a hydrous gel (2) which is gelled by containing a water-soluble polymer and water and stored in the recess (1a), a member (3) for taking out the gel, where a portion of the member is exposed at the exterior of the hydrous gel (2) as a header (31) and the rest (32) is fitted to the hydrous gel (2), and a peelable film (4) which covers the opening of the recess of the container body (1a) and is peelably stuck with the flange and hence seals the recess. Further, the portable functional hydrous gel forms an external recess (13a), which protrudes inwardly from the bottom surface of the recess of the container body (1a) at the same depth or less as the recess and holds an effective chemical substance.
