PURPOSE: Provided are novel Bacillus subtilis EBM 13 having a broad antifungal activity and biopesticides containing it for controlling pathogenic fungi. CONSTITUTION: The novel Bacillus subtilis EBM 13(KCTC 0984BP) has a broad antifungal spectrum to Pyricularia oryzae, Pythium ultimum, Rhizoctonia solani, Botryoshaeria dothidea, Bipolaris sorokiniana, Botrytis cinerea, Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, Pyricularia grisea, Mycosphaerella melonis, Phytophthora sclerotiorum, Neurospora sp., and Candida albicans. It can be used as an active ingredient for biopesticides for controlling pathogenic fungi.
