PURPOSE: A wireless hand scanner is provided to scan a large size object at a time, to transmit the scanned data to other media, and to prevent the distortion or the contortion of the scanned data by maintaining a scanning speed constantly. CONSTITUTION: The wireless scanner comprises a contact type image sensor(10), an analog/digital converter(12), a microprocessor(14), a memory(18), an interface(16), a scanning speed controller(26), a motor roller(27), an LCD(24), a voice output part(22) and a key pad(20). The contact type image sensor scans an image or a text and converts the scanned image or text into the analog data. The analog/digital converter converts the data from the sensor into the digital data. The memory stores a program permanently, and stores the scanned data and the word information searched through an electronic dictionary. The interface transmits the scanned data to other media. The LCD(24) displays the scanned data and the information. The microprocessor controls an operation of each device and compresses the scanned data.
