Fabrication of ceramics incorporating aluminum waste consists of utilization of aluminum anodizing sludge and of slate cutting and polishing waste

The fabrication of ceramics incorporating aluminum waste comprises utilization of aluminum anodizing sludge and of slate cutting and polishing waste containing aluminum, in powder form. A 50 per cent sludge mix, pressed and sintered at 1250 degrees C gives ceramics of 7 per cent water absorption capacity and 27 MPa bend strength.
