PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a record reading method and a record reading device capable of preventing any information from being made visible even when ultraviolet rays are emitted, and detecting the information even in a bright place, and accurately reading invisible information even from a recording medium in which visible information (including dirt) in normal ink is displayed, and realizing its simplicity, miniaturization, and low costs. SOLUTION: In this record reading method, an ultraviolet ray 10 and a visible ray 12 are emitted to an invisible information recording part recorded by using substantially non-fluorescent recording materials or invisible information non- recording part (visible information 26 and non-recording part) on a recording medium 1 so as to be reflected on the same optical path, and the light quantity of the ultraviolet ray 10 and a visible ray 14 reflected on the same optical path is detected by one photoelectric converting element 22 so that the invisible information 24 can be read. |
