PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control valve type lead storage battery with high initial discharge capacity and long life. SOLUTION: Diarsenic trioxide is added by 0.01 to 1 percent to lead powder by mass. Then, dilute sulfuric acid is added and kneaded to make up a paste active material. Then, the paste active material is filled in a lattice body to manufacture a paste type positive electrode plate, which is used for the control valve type lead storage battery. Then, the control valve type lead storage battery is made with the use of dilute sulfuric acid solution containing phosphoric acid by 2 percent by mass. |
