PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic color proof system that enables an easy, quick color proofing operation and has a function required for the color proofing, and a and color proof method. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes an electrophotographic device having an image forming function that outputs an image having a color difference of 6.5 or less in a CIE1976L*a*b* and a lithograph plate making function. The image forming apparatus also includes a lithograph printer that lithographically prints in a post process performed by the electrophotographic device. The image forming apparatus further includes a switching means that switches the image formation by the electrophotographic device and the printing by the lithograph printer.
