The frame comprises hollow profile metal sections which areconnected by an insert connector (3) pressed into the butting ends of the sections. Holes (5) through the sections line up with holes (4) on one side of each hollow section and enable adhesive (6) to be injected into the joint to spread between the connector and the inner wall of the frame. The injection holes also take hollow stud fasteners (8) pressed into the holes. This holds the fitting for applying the adhesive. The connector can be a casting with the injection ducts embedded in the casting.
