PURPOSE: An emergent call service method for a mobile communication terminal is provided to recognize the request of emergent call and quickly answer to the request by adding an emergent receiving mode in an automatic response mode function and setting a previously promised emergent call request number. CONSTITUTION: If a caller wishes for an emergent call with a user and inputs an emergent call number through numerical keys of a terminal, an inputted numerical information signal is recognized through a DTMF(Dual Tone Multi Frequency) signal detection process(S15). The request of the emergent call is discriminated according as recognized numerical information is identical to an emergent call number set by the user(S16). If the recognized numerical information is identical to the emergent call number set by the user, a message record is cancelled and an executed automatic response mode is released(S19), the request of the emergent call is informed to the user by vibration(S20). If the user answers to the request of the emergent call, a call connection tone is transmitted for performing a call between the caller and the user(S21).
