PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing system capable of suppressing the load of a system holder, while reducing the influence of the occurrence of the transfer of a host on a client. SOLUTION: This data processing system is provided with a data transmitting server 2, connected via a network 1 for accepting a storage medium A from a client and a host computer 3 for performing processing to the data in the storage medium A; the data transmitting server 2 is provided with a data registering function for registering the data in the storage medium A, based on the instruction of an operator and a return medium preparing function for preparing the storage medium A to be returned, based on the processed result of the host computer 3; and the host computer 3 is provided with a data processing function for performing prescribed processing, by collecting the registered data in the storage medium A from the data transmitting server 2 and a data transmitting function for transmitting the processed result to the data transmitting server 2.
