PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that monitors a physical condition of a person in need of nursing care so as to automatically detect the health problem of the person thereby allowing a nearby rescue agency to dispatch an ambulance to the person. SOLUTION: The system comprises a portable terminal 10 for the person in need of nursing care, a terminal 10 for a person in need of nursing care, a remote movable camera 30, a monitoring center terminal 40, a rescue center terminal 50, and a communication network 100 such as the Internet that interconnects the terminal 20, the monitoring center terminal 40 and the rescue center terminal 50. When the portable terminal 10 for the person in need of nursing care monitoring the physical condition for the person in need of nursing care detects the health problem of the person in need of nursing care, the terminal 10 automatically informs the monitoring center terminal 40 via the Internet, the monitoring center terminal 40 receiving the notice confirms the state of the person in need of nursing care by operating the remote movable camera 30 and requests a rescue center terminal 50 nearby the person in charge of nursing care to dispatch an ambulance to the person when the terminal 40 can confirm the health problem of the person.
