PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional imaging system being unable to have conducted proper sharpening processing, depending on the characteristic of an object and an interchangeable lens in the image processing for enhancing the sharpness of a photographed up image. SOLUTION: In the imaging system, including a lens device 1 having a storage means 3 storing MTF(modulation transfer function) data of an imaging optical system 2, an imaging device, to/from which the lens device is attachable/ detachable and provided with an imaging element 5, and an image processing means 10 with filter means 16, 17 that extract a spatial frequency component to enhance the sharpness from an image photographed up by the image pickup element and with amplifier means 18-20 amplifying the spatial frequency component extracted by the filter means, the image processing means is discriminated of the spatial frequency included in the photographed image, the extraction range of the filter means is set corresponding to the discriminated spatial frequency and the gain of the amplifier means is set on the basis of MTF data, made to correspond to the discriminated spatial frequency among the MTF data stored in the storage means. |
