PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide WWW page information with high information freshness and to decrease the load quantity for cyclic processing by a WWW robot. SOLUTION: On the basis of a keyword inputted by a WWW client, a database holding WWW page information is retrieved, a list for displaying the retrieved result is prepared and transmitted and in accordance with the designation of a page desired to read on the list from a user, the instruction of link to the designated page is returned. On the basis of the link instruction, WWW page data are acquired from a corresponding WWW server and transmitted to the WWW client and concerning the acquired WWW page data, the database is updated. Simultaneously, concerning the WWW server, the ranking of cyclic order on a cyclic list holding the cyclic priority of WWW server groups on the WWW is lowered for a prescribed portion.
