METHOD FOR DETERMINING SCRAMBLING CODE REFERENCE TIME IN W-CDMA SYSTEM APPLYING USTS

PURPOSE: A method for determining a scrambling code reference time in a W-CDMA(Wideband-Code Division Multiple Access) system applying a USTS(Uplink Synchronous Transmission Scheme) is provided to determine a reference time of an uplink scrambling code in a base station and a scrambling code offset in each mobile station according to the reference time in case that the USTS is applied. CONSTITUTION: A frame boundary(31) of a P-CCPCH(Primary-Common Control Physical CHannel) is set as the first reference point. A repeated period value of a channel code is multiplied by constant times and a predetermined chip value is added to the multiplied value, and the second reference point is set as the second reference point by the added value for compensating a time delay between a base station and a mobile station. The second reference point is determined as a reference point of a scrambling code about the corresponding mobile station.
