PURPOSE: An apparatus for coating a polymer resin onto a threaded fastener is provided, to coat the resin onto the internally threaded bore of a cylindrical body of the threaded fastener by orienting the fastener mechanically. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a conveyer(30) which carries the threaded fastener(60); at least one support member which supports the fastener rotatable to the conveyer on the conveyer; a resin application station(40) which comprises a resin spray nozzle(41) directing a stream of the resin toward the travel path of the fastener; and an orientation station which comprises a guide member which operates to rotate each of the fastener relative to the conveyor as they move toward the application station and to properly orient the fastener so that threaded bore of each fastener will intersect the resin stream as the conveyor carries the fastener along the travel path and through the resin application station(40).
