PURPOSE: Expansion materials for cement comprising a ternary mixture of fly ash, flue gas desulfurization gypsum and calcined lime are provided to control cracking of concrete construction caused by drying and shrinkage. CONSTITUTION: The expansion materials are ternary mixture or binary mixture. The ternary mixture comprises 13-71wt.% of industrial calcined lime containing more than 90wt.% of CaO, 4-71wt.% of fly ash, and 12-43wt.% of flue gas desulfurization gypsum(CaSO4.2H2O) containing 40-55wt.% of SO3. The binary mixture comprises 50-60wt.% of industrial calcined lime containing more than 90wt.% of CaO, 40-50wt.% of fly ash. The expansion materials optionally include water-reducing materials such as 1.0-2.5wt.% of alkoxy silane-based inorganic polymer, 1.5-2.5wt.% of carbon black or aluminum sulfate and 1.0-2.5wt.% of polyglycol-based organic compound, expressed by R1(OXm)nOH(R1: C0, C1 or C4 alkyl group, m: C2 or C3 alkylene group, n: an integer of 60-140). The amount of expansion materials for cement added to the unit of cement amount is 5-20wt.%.
