PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contactless scanner system that enhances reliability of optical read processing. SOLUTION: The contactless scanner system that is used to be connected to an optical read processing means that reads an object pattern displayed and recorded on a prescribed display screen on the basis of prescribed binary image data, is provided with an image read means that optically reads the display screen as an image to acquire image data, an image storage means that stores the image data of the display screen acquired by the image read means, a threshold setting means that inspects a luminance distribution, with respect to the image data on the display screen to set a binary threshold with a prescribed luminance range, depending on the result of inspection, and a conversion means that uses the binary threshold to convert the image data into binary image data and supplies the binary image data to the optical read processing means.
