PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of employed components and to reduce power consumption while reducing the number of components. SOLUTION: A recording medium drive is provided with: a holder 16 which carries a recording medium 102 between an insertion and removal position which is provided in the chassis 5 freely movably, holds the recording medium and accepts and ejects the recording medium and a loading position at which the recording medium is loaded to a loading part; an ejection lever 39 which ejects the recording medium from the holder; a slider 31 which can be moved in the directions of inserting/discharging the recording medium into/from the holder, which moves the holder to the loading position by being moved in the insertion direction and which moves the holder in the insertion and removal position by being moved to the discharge direction; and a spring member 45 which is provided between the ejection lever and the slider the ejection lever is energized in the direction for ejecting the recording medium from the holder and also energizes the slider in the insertion direction.
