PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal frame body for a fluorescent character display tube where man-hours for assembly is reduced and assembly accuracy is improved and a producing method of the fluorescent character display tube with the usage of the frame body. SOLUTION: Ends of a pair of metallic frames A, to which a filament can be extendedly provided, are welded and fixed on both ends of a metal rod. Both ends of a metal frame B are welded and fixed on the other ends of the metal frames A. An overlapping recessed part, having an opening end to a same direction, is formed on a welding and fixing part of the other ends of the metal frames A and the ends of the metal frame B, respectively.
