PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily realize mosaic picture synthesis where pictures are smoothly connected and the obtained picture can be related to other geographic information such as a map even when the position and attitude detecting accuracy of a camera is not sufficient. SOLUTION: The information of a camera position and attitude is inputted (step S101), and a picture I is cut out from the camera-photographed picture (step S102). The picture I is converted into a picture J projected on a mosaic picture M plane on the basis of the information of the camera position and attitude, and outputted (step S103). A partial picture K of the mosaic picture M corresponding to the picture J is outputted (step S104). Picture analysis is performed between those pictures J and K, and the picture J is corrected so that those pictures J and K can be smoothly connected to each other (step S105). The corrected picture J is added to the mosaic picture M so as to be synthesized (step S106).
