PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating body which is capable of cost reduction and weight reduction, without deteriorating the performance of a motor. SOLUTION: A permanent magnet 14 and electromagnetic steel plates 16 are arranged around a rotating shaft 12 of a rotor 10 of a motor and is sandwiched and fixed by the body 18 of revolution. A part of the body 18, which part is not in contact with the permanent magnet 14, is constituted of a first member 20 formed of magnetic material, and a part which is in contact with the permanent magnet 14 is constituted of a second member 22 formed of nonmagnetic material. Thereby the usage of expensive nonmagnetic material is reduced, manufacturing cost is reduced, leakage of lines of magnetic force from the permanent magnet 14 is reduced, and deterioration of performance of the rotor 10 can be restrained.
