The invention concerns an ingot mould for vertical continuous metal casting comprising metallic side walls (3, 4) provided with cooling means and whereof the inner surfaces (2, 5) define a casting space for molten metal, and an inductor (10) enclosing an upper part of said ingot mould to generate in the casting space, at the upper surface (7) of the cast metal, a magnetic field substantially oriented along the casting direction. The inductor (10) is integrated in an annular module (50) comprising a heat conducting metal wall (54) proximate to that of the ingot mould walls, the annular module being directly mounted above said side walls (3, 4) and removably linked thereto defining an opening of similar cross-section as the casting space.
