1,125,219. Liquid fuel supply systems for burners. WEBASTO-WERK G.m.b.H. 14 Aug., 1967 [10 Nov., 1966], No. 37276/67. Heading F4T. Fuel is supplied to the burner 2 of a vehicle heating appliance from a storage container 3 through an electromagnetically operated diaphragm pump 4, a dosing device 5 and a delivery pipe 6, the dosing device 5 comprising a Venturi tube 7, a proportioning nozzle 8, a membrane 9 and a controlled fuel valve 10, the membrane 9 dividing the dosing device into an admission chamber 11 and a delivery chamber 12 and air for combustion is supplied to the burner 2 by a blower 16 which is connected by a conduit 18 to the Venturi tube 7 and hence via nozzle 8 to the chamber 11, and the blower 16 is also connected to chamber 12 by a conduit 19. Air passing through the Venturi tube 7 causes a reduction in pressure in chamber 11 to distort the diaphragm 9 and open fuel valve 10 through a push-rod 14 so that the desired fuel/air ratio is obtained.
|
