The arrangement has upper main bus bars (5) and an equipment bearer (3) with vertical field rails (7) with a mounting side (6) for switching, control and protection equipment and a rear side. The field rails are arranged on the equipment mounting side of the bearer. The field rails are arranged near one of the vertical edges of the bearer and the remaining space between the field rails and the other edge forms a continuous space for equipment. AN Independent claim is also included for a low voltage switching system.
