PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyamide resin composition which exhibits high weld strength and barrier properties without detriment to the characteristics inherent in a crystalline polyamide resin and can be used for preparing a large-size molded item or a part having a complicated shape without depending on a special molding machine or a special post-processing method; and a fuel member excellent in the fuel resistance of a welded section, especially excellent in the fuel resistance of a welded section over a long time. SOLUTION: This polyamide resin composition, excellent in the fuel resistance of a welded section, comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. crystalline polyamide resin of which the terminal amino group concentration is higher than the terminal carboxyl group concentration and (B) 0.05-10 pts.wt. layered silicate homogeneously dispersed in the polyamide resin.
