PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear structure of a car body capable of improving rigidity around a rear pillar. SOLUTION: A closed cross section part 6 formed with a rear pillar inner 3 and a pillar reinforce 5 is connected to a rear wheel house 11 of a rigid member, and especially, the closed cross section part 6 is directly connected to a substantially box-shaped rigidity reinforcing part 14 formed in a rear wheel house outer 13. Therefore, the closed cross section part 6 can receive a rear suspension input in the axial direction, thereby preventing falling deformation of a rear pillar 1 and certainly holding an opening/closing performance of a back door.
