PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a guide mechanism for opening and closing a mold assembly, mounted on the mold assembly of every kind such as a mold for molding a resin, a press mold or the like, enabling mutual fitting generating no dragging even if thermal expansion is especially suppressed to reduce a clearance and enhancing product accuracy. SOLUTION: The guide mechanism 21 for opening and closing a mold assembly is constituted so as to fit one guide post 22 provided in a projected state in other guide bush 23 provided in a recessed state in a slidable manner to guide the on-off operation of each part of the mold. The bottom of the guide bush 23 is closed and an air venting flow channel 30 for discharging air passing through the flow channel to the outside is provided to the guide post 22.
