PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antiallergic composition safely usable for a long period and having sufficient antiallergic effect, especially preventing or suppressing action on atopic dermatitis by using a component derived from corn husk as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: The antiallergic composition is produced by using a partially decomposed material of hemicellulose obtained from the husk of corn as a main ingredient. The partially decomposed hemicellulose is preferably produced by removing starch and protein from corn husk, extracting the remaining part with an alkali and decomposing the obtained hemicellulose with an enzyme, preferably xylanase and the average molecular weight of the partially decomposed hemicellulose is preferably 20,000-200,000. |
