PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire with excellent hydroplaning resistance characteristic on a wet road surface and the vehicle stability on a dry road surface. SOLUTION: The angle of inclination with respect to the tire circumferential direction of inclined grooves 40 of the pneumatic tire having the inclined grooves 40 in the inverted V-shape across the tire equator line CL and provided with a tread pattern symmetric in the right-and-left direction with respect to the tire equator line CL is set to be 40 deg. to 50 deg. in an area 1, and 60 deg. to 120 deg. in an area 2, respectively. A front wheel tire is fitted so that a narrowly tapered side of the inclined grooves 40 is brought into contact with the ground first, and a rear wheel tire is fitted so that a widely tapered side of the inclined grooves 40 is brought into contact with the ground first. The pneumatic tire has excellent hydroplaning resistance characteristic on the wet road surface and vehicle stability on the dry road surface. |
