PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a detection device for changing the set of a detection part in real time with a simple method without having any influence on the observation of a detection image display window. SOLUTION: A pointer 14 is moved onto the detection image display window 12 for displaying detection image data in the active state of the detection image display window 12, and the wheel of a mouse with wheel is rotated, whereby the set value of a predetermined set item is changed. According to this change, the detecting operation set value of the detection part of the detection device (fish detector) connected to a network through the instruction part of an indicator is changed to perform a new detection. The new detection image data obtained by this detection are displayed on the screen of the indicator. The right button of the mouse with wheel is pressed, whereby a mouse setting window 15 is displayed, and the contents of a set item window 16 are changed by rotating the wheel.
