PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera which is made thin when stored and then small- sized on the whole by devising the crossing relation between column plates of a link mechanism when a photographic lens in the state wherein a photographic lens is stored when the photographic lens is driven by the link mechanism composed of the column plates of a plurality of stages. SOLUTION: This camera has the link mechanism 2 and drives the photographic lens associatively with the extension and contraction of the link mechanism 2, and the link mechanism 2 can freely extend and contract in the driving direction of the photographic lens by the column plates 2a, one column plate and the other column plate are connected rotatably at their center parts, and when the link mechanism 2 in the opening state enters the closed state, the upper/lower relation between one plane of one column plate and one plane of the other column plate is inverted in the driving direction.
