PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine device that does not start an engine while a main clutch is in the 'ON' state, is inexpensive, has no trouble, and is certainly operated, in a pedestrian-controlled moving agricultural machinery having a recoil type engine. SOLUTION: A position of a handle grip of a recoil hook for starting an engine is changed to a lodging attitude for disabling the start of the engine in cooperation with the ON operation of the main clutch lever.
