PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint device for the ceiling that can smoothly move a ceiling joint finish material when a joint part shakes to become narrower without scratching the lower face, which is the finished surface, of the joint ceiling finish material even if moving upward, or damaging neither a ceiling finish material nor the joint ceiling finish material without particularly providing them with rigidity. SOLUTION: This joint device for the ceiling is composed of right and left guide members provided at the joint part side end parts of the right and left ceiling finish materials attached to the ceiling skeletons of right and left buildings respectively using hanging implements, with the lower parts formed in inclined faces projecting to the joint part side; the joint ceiling finish material which covers the joint part between the right and left guide members; and a joint ceiling finish material support mechanism that can slide the joint ceiling finish material upward without pressing both end parts of the joint ceiling finish material by the right and left guide members when the joint part between the right and left building shakes to become narrower due to an earthquake or the like.
