Friction members (4) on a separator roller (2) and friction regions (3a) of a retaining device (3) consist of material having a similar coefficient of friction. In the separation gap, the contact region between the friction members of the separator roller and a sheet to be separated is substantially larger than the contact region between the friction regions of the retaining device and the sheet to be separated. In the separation gap, further contact regions of the retaining device and/or the separator roller w.r.t. the sheet to be separated have a lower coefficient of friction. |
