PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability by dispersing stress by a load at torque transmission. SOLUTION: A ratchet type one-way clutch 20 comprises an inner ring 2 and an outer ring 3 arranged coaxially and relatively rotatably, clam members 4 arranged between the inner ring and the outer ring and on either the inner ring or the outer ring and fitted in notches 6 formed in the other inner ring or outer ring to transmit torque, and energizing members 5 for energizing the clam members in the given direction. At least either the inner ring or the outer ring is provided with a stress dispersing means 12, 12a, 12b and 12c.
