CARBON FIBER-CONTAINING SHEET FOR PRODUCTION OF METALLIC FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a carbon fiber sheet having low density for improving the collection performance and the clogging preventing performance of a metallic filter produced by plating a carbon fiber sheet with metal and eliminating the carbon fiber by burning. SOLUTION: A carbon fiber-containing sheet having a density of as low as <=0.1 g/cm<3> is produced by including a volume-increasing agent and a binder in the sheet. A curled organic fiber, a curled fiber or an expandable particle is used as the volume-increasing agent.
