PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a surge tank so as to relatively easily secure seal performance of a bolt fastening part inserted from the inside of the surge tank in fastening the synthetic resin surge tank by bolts to an intake air manifold (an engine body). SOLUTION: This intake air surge tank 13 of an internal combustion engine is formed of a synthetic resin material, and is joined to one end of the intake air manifold 5 by gathering a plurality of intake air passages 10 having other end joined to cylinder heads 3a and 3b. It is characterized in that passage holes 21 individually continuing with the respective intake air passages and bolt inserting holes 22 for mutually fixing the surge tank and the intake air manifold are opened in joining planes of the surface tank and the other end surface of the intake air manifold, and a seal member is installed along the outer peripheral edge of the joining planes so as to surround the periphery of the passage holes as well as to surround the outside of the bolt inserting holes. Thus, since the periphery of the respectively passage holes and the periphery of a plurality of bolt inserting holes are collectively and simultaneously sealed without using a metal gasket, even if the bolts are inserted from the inside of the surge tank, leakage of negative pressure from a clearance between the bolt inserting holes and the bolts is prevented.
