<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closing device for a sliding door for various storage furniture such as cupboards, bookshelves, and showcases, in which the sliding door is moved especially as it gets closer to a closing side end part for securely making an abutment state at the closing end part of the sliding door. SOLUTION: This device comprises a closing device A comprising a fixed main body part A1 provided with a fixed guide part 6 having an inclined guide surface 6b downwardly inclined from a door opening side end part of a horizontal guide surface 6a, and a movable guide part A2 movable along the fixed guide part 6 to be elastically and constantly energized in a door closing direction to temporarily stop at the inclined guide surface 6b against energization, and the sliding door C provided with an engagement pin 19 which can be engaged with/released from the movable guide part A2 . In closing action of the sliding door C, the engagement pin 19 is engaged with the movable guide part A2 in a temporarily stopped state to the inclined guide surface 6b for holding it. In opening action of the sliding door C, the engagement pin 19 is released from engagement with the movable guide part A2 at a position of the inclined guide surface 6b.</p> |
