PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data output system that can simultaneously output images of an optional part of a read document as color data and monochromatic data. SOLUTION: A carrying mechanism section 15 of the optical reader 1 captures each document 3 into the reader. An image data entry means 11 captures an image of the carried document 3 as multi-value data in 3 colors R(Red), G(Green) and B(Blue) and stores them to a storage means 12. A recognition processing section 13 segments image data of a required document part according to the size of a document designated based on image data of the document 3 stored in the storage means 12, applies edit procedure to a designated color, and an I/F section 14 outputs the edited multi-value data in the RGB 3 colors to a host device 2. The recognition processing section 13 applies binary processing to the designated data in a color to be binary processed by using a designated threshold value, and the I/F section 14 outputs the resulting data to the host device 2. |
