PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging apparatus with a wide dynamic range that can be downsized and obtain a proper image even from an object with a motion. SOLUTION: The solid-state imaging apparatus has an electronic shutter function that excludes signal charges generated from a CMOS area sensor 1 for each horizontal period by a control signal from a signal generating section 8 and outputs the signal charges from the CMOS area sensor 1 for two different storage times within one horizontal period. An analog/digital converter section 4 converts two obtained output signals with different storage times into digital signals, and a synthesis section synthesizes them and outputs the synthesized signal as an image signal.
