PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate authenticity and to improve operability, without making the reproduced image and reproducing method of a hologram to be known by a user. SOLUTION: This hologram discrimination system 1 has the hologram affixed to a medium, a laser beam source 5 for irradiating the hologram with reference light 4, a photodetecting means 7 for receiving the reflected light 6 thereof. The system described above has an aperture 10 for checking the position of the hologram for irradiating the hologram with the reference light 4, access means 11 for turning on and off the operation of the hologram discrimination system 1, display means 19 for displaying the result of the discrimination, illumination means 18 for illuminating the entire part of the hologram in positioning the hologram, and a casing 14, which has a finder 22 for making the observation of the position of the hologram possible, by transmitting the reflected light 21 by the illumination light 20 from the illumination means 18 and houses the laser beam source 5, the photodetecting means 7 and the illumination means 18 in a hermetic state. |
