EARTHQUAKE-RESISTANT FLEXIBLE JOINT BETWEEN MANHOLE AND CONDUIT LINE MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new earthquake-resistant flexible joint between a side hole of a manhole and a conduit line material, which enables a collar to be moved to a correct position even in the presence of displacement, permits a strike slip of the conduit line material, and prevents occurrence of water leakage. SOLUTION: The earthquake-resistant flexible joint between the manhole and the conduit line material is characterized as follows: when the conduit line material such as a Hume concrete pipe and a box culvert is mounted on the manhole, the collar is fitted loosely into an outer surface of a pipe end of the conduit line material; and a rubber band having a bellows part in an intermediate part is mounted to envelope the outer surface of the pipe end and that of the collar, so that the collar and the conduit line material can be made freely movable and inclinable in the bellows part of the rubber band.
