PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in the liquid crystal panel of a beadless system by which a cell gap of the liquid crystal panel is held by protrusions on a color filter substrate, the cell gap is difficult to be stabilized because the protrusions are plastically deformed by the load on the color filter substrate in the manufacturing stage. SOLUTION: The protrusions are made to hardly be plastically deformed even if pressure is applied to the color filter substrate 14 in the post manufacturing stage and the cell gap can be stabilized by placing the color filter substrate 14 on a metal surface plate 81 and applying pressure onto the protrusions using a metal drum 82 to plastically deform the color filter substrate 14 previously, after the color filter substrate 14 having the protrusions is prepared or before the liquid crystal panel is assembled.
